Being Connected

By: Pastor Mariano D. Vargas

There is an old spiritual song, penned by James Weldon Johnson, entitled, ”Dem Dry Bones”. The song actually is based on Ezekiel 37:1-4, and the familiar song speaks of being connected. “Toe bone connected to the foot bone, foot bone connected to the ankle…” You get the idea.

We here at Solemn Assembly are trying to connect to a needy world in order to prompt God’s eternal truth that “…He so loved the World…”

The Word says in Ephesians 4:16 [TLB] “…and each part in its own special way helps the other parts, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”

Whether it’s through monetary efforts, prayer vigils, letter, exhorting prayer meetings or other evangelical methods, we are making connections! It is making connections in our own special way that promotes God’s Love to a needy world…and that’s who we are!

I challenge you to connect with us and help make a difference in the world. O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!”
